Megara
Megara was the oldest daughter of Creon, king of Thebes. As a reward for Heracles’ defending Thebes against the threats of Orchomenus, Creon offered Megara to Heracles as his wife. She bore him a son and a daughter, but when Heracles was struck him with temporary madness by Hera, he killed both his children and Megara (or, in some versions, Megara was given to Heracles’ nephew Iolaus when Heracles left Thebes forever).
