Aeneas

Aeneas was a Trojan hero, the son of prince Anchises and the goddess Aphrodite/Venus. He was known for his skills in combat during the battle of Troy, but was forced to flee with his old father when Troy fell. After a series of adventures, including a year long affair with Queen Dido of Carthage, he went on to conquer the land of the Latins, where he eventually settled and became progenitor of Romulus and Remus and the Julian family of Rome. After his death, his mother Venus persuaded Jupiter to make Aeneas into a god.
