Dain

An elf. As far as I can determine, Dain was the leader of the elves in the world of Alfheim. His name is mentioned in the Havamal ("Sayings of the High One"), along with Odin.

Odin for Aesir, and Dain for the elves,
Dvalin for the dwarfs,
Asvid for the giants,
I myself carve some.
