The table below shows that the names of the days of the week that we are most familiar with were mostly derived from the names of Germanic gods and goddesses. I only have the names of Anglo-Saxon (Old English) days listed.

Only Sunday, Monday and Saturday have retained their Roman names. For comparison purposes, I have included the Roman days in the last column.
